Department of Peace, man

Rep. Udall (D-Boulder) co-sponsored Rep. Kucinich's 2003 bill to create a Cabinet-level Department of Peace, an agency that would establish, among other things, a Peace Academy.

Bring the troops home and send 'em to Peace Academy.
Jihadists are unstrapping at the very thought of it.

bet their football team sucks

UPDATE: No Department of Peace, man

In March, 2004, Rep. Udall (D-Boulder) withdrew his support for the Department of Peace bill, citing spending concerns relating to national defense and unbalanced tax cuts. Through his careful review (cunningly done after he signed on in support) he revealed that we were, in fact, at war and that the tax cuts that he voted against were, in fact, passed nonetheless. Behold the clarity of a Senate candidate.

In a speech on the House floor, he said that he had originally signed on "at the urging of a very persuasive group of young high school students from my district."
